Dr. Allison Douglas was born and raised in Massachusetts. She graduated from UMass Amherst in 2005 with her Bachelor of Science and then received her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2009. She has been practicing dentistry in the Hudson Valley area since 2013.
As an active member of the ADA, NYSDA and the Ninth District Dental Society, Dr. Douglas is always continuing her education to stay apprised of all the latest technologies and advances in dentistry. She is Invisalign-certified and has received advanced training in restorative and esthetic dentistry including crown and bridge and implant restoration.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry is building a trusting relationship with each patient. Many people come into the office having a fear of dentistry and tell me how much they hate the dentist. After a few appointments they realize that dentistry has come a long way and that pain can be avoided and controlled. When they leave an appointment and hug you; you know you’ve changed their entire outlook on dentistry for the rest of their life. It’s the best.”
Although she’s a Boston girl at heart, she promises to not get into any Red Sox/Yankee rivalry arguments with any patients.
